WHICH "CIDE" ARE YOU ON?:

WHICH "CIDE" ARE YOU ON?:

Nutrient management has become a game of taking cides! Taking the herbicide to the landscape to kill the weeds.  Taking the fungicide to the landscape to kill the fungus.  Taking the insecticide to the landscape to kill insects such as mosquitoes.  Taking the algaecide to the pond to kill the algae.

The use of cides is not natural. "Cide" mean killer. (-cide, from Latin -cida meaning cutter or killer.)
  • Algaecide – a chemical agent that kills algae
  • Bactericide – a chemical agent that kills bacteria.
  • Biocide - a chemical agent that kills a broad spectrum of living organisms.
  • Fungicide - chemical agents or biological organisms used to kill or inhibit fungi or fungal spores.
  • Herbicide - an agent that kills unwanted plants, a weed killer.
  • Insecticide – an agent that kills unwanted insects.
  • Nemacide (also Nematicide, Nematocide) – a chemical to eradicate or kill nematodes.
  • Pesticide – a general term to describe an agent used to destroy or repel an unwanted pest.

In a healthy, natural system, weeds can be eliminated by competition.  In a landscape that competition is between the grasses and the other plants that are not wanted within the lawn.  But the competition goes much deeper.  In the soil, there is competition at a biological level that would make what we see at the soils surface seem like child's play.  The biological system could be described as a struggle for nutrients.

Yet, a better description would look like the following:

A healthy system is one where cooperation is paramount and symbiosis is commonplace. Componenets of a healthy system include:
  • Balanced nutrition
  • Balanced, radiant biology, free of pathogens
  • Protection from contamination
  • Sunlight
  • Energized living water

All of these elements combined create a stable soil ecosystem known as The Soil Food Web as depicted by the USDA graphic below.

A sick system is one filled with chaos.  In a descriptive way, all of the players are taking "cides".  They are fighting over the few scraps of nutrition that are available because the basic biological system has collapsed.  Why has it collapsed? There are many reasons. For example, when a fungicide is used, it kills beneficial fungus as well as the undesirable fungus.  When other cides are used, they also throw the whole system into chaos leaving room for even more problems.

Components of a sick system include:
  • Nutritional imbalance
  • A weak soil biology burdened by pathogens
  • Possibly contaminated water
  • "Cides" and chemical fertilizers

DISEASES OF LANDSCAPES:

DISEASES OF LANDSCAPES:

Every homeowner or property owner wants their landscape to be perfect and become as sustainable as possible.  They will go to great lengths to make sure their landscape achieves this goal. But the cost of this effort can grow and the results can often time be disappointing.  There is a very long list of landscape diseases that can be found.  There is always an answer behind the problem, which almost any homeowner or property owner can take into their own hands and correct.  The real answer or focus should be placed on the soil fertility and how it relates to plant health versus the traditional approach focusing on plant health and disregarding soil fertility.

It is well documented that these problems arise due to lack of nutrients stemming from soil imbalance!

How does Nature's Force Organics meet this challenge?

All these problems seem to occur during a season, the real question is how do you avoid these problems?  There are a lot of products which can be bought, but each one has a certain objective.  Nature's Force Organics™ products combined as a program are aimed to tackle the problem before it has a chance to establish.  This is achieved from the ability of getting the plant all the nourishment it needs by focusing on soil health.  Nature's Force Organics™ system focuses on regeneration of the basic components all soils require in order to promote the creation of a balanced productive fertile soil ecosystem.  Our program achieves this through some intelligently designed products based upon some very simple natural scientific principles. Our approach focuses on implementing a broad diversity of microbiological colonization through the building blocks of life for dense nutrient regeneration and cycling to culminate the maximum production of balanced fertile soils.
